Look at yourself in the mirror and smile at yourself before you head out on your first date. Tell yourself that you are beautiful and that you are going to enjoy yourself tonight. If any doubts start to creep into your mind about your first date, close your eyes, slow your breathing and picture a candle in your mind. Focus on this candle and your breathing until all worries leave your mind. Knowing that you are going to have fun on your first date is the first step to breaking the ice between you and your date.

Say hi, shake your date’s hand. and tell them that you have been looking forward to this all day. By letting your date know that you have looked forward to this first date, you will be telling them that you are all ready for fun and enjoyment. This will put your first date at ease on your first date.
Step3
To break the ice on a first date when there is a lull in the conversation, ask your date questions about themselves. These should not sound the like the questions that you would be asked on an interview. This is a first date; everything should be fun and relaxed as it can be. Ask your date questions about TV shows that they loved as a child. A great question to ask your first date is about there favorite vacation. It will help to get your date to open up on your first date and work toward an easy flowing conversation. With the conversation flowing on a first date, there will be no ice blocking the way to build toward a possible relationship with this person.
